Caroline Harvey is Gorvins representative for the Surrey Police Federation.

She specialises in assisting clients with financial issues to resolve following divorce or relationship breakdown.

She has worked in the Milton Keynes area for almost twenty years, specialising in family law, particularly ancillary relief matters, where there may be high value assets and significant pensions at issue. She has advised on many and varied matters; recent ones include enforcement in the Court of a financial agreement from which the other party had departed, with costs awarded to the client, and has frequently advised on matters where there are family businesses to consider i.e. farms, solicitors practices, garages.

She has also successfully achieved a substantial costs award for a client where there were hidden assets abroad, which she established and then successfully traced. She has also recently acted for a client where there was a Trust set up by the client's spouse and there were assets from the Trust being spent abroad with the client being neither informed nor paid what was due to them. This was successfully overcome.

She has regularly attended the Principal Registry, Leicester, Tunbridge Wells, Dartford, Kingston upon Thames, as well as the more local courts at Luton, Milton Keynes and Oxford. She is responsible for the Thames Valley and Bedfordshire federations as well as having a number of Metropolitan Police clients.

She is an experienced negotiator both in and out of Court, often resolving matters at an earlier stage than would otherwise have been the case, which avoids delay and additional costs for the client. She has had considerable experience in dealing with the remuneration package for the police, both how the pensions and police pay are structured, and has experience of understanding actuarial reports, which can often be misleading and founded on false assumptions. She has acted for police officers at all levels for four years.

Caroline has been a member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association) for a number of years. You will find her to have a capable and confident approach to your case, which will always be sympathetic. Caroline herself has been through a divorce and understands well the issues that can be involved.

She lives locally and has a nine year old daughter. She enjoys spending her spare time with family and friends.
