Lorraine is a partner based in the Stockport Office and an experienced matrimonial lawyer, advising on divorce, separation, finances, unmarried couples and relationship breakdown, domestic violence anc children issues. She has a Masters in Family Law from Manchester University.
Lorraine is responsible for referrals from West Midlands and Greater Manchester police and has been representing police officers for over five years and, consequently, is knowledgeable on police issues, including pay and pension benefits.
She regularly attends Stockport, Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton and Manchester County Courts and has an insight into how various Judges will approach particular cases.
Lorraine is sympathetic to a client's needs. However, she is also proactive in ensuring a satisfactory conclusion to every case she deals with.
Lorraine's recent work includes:
- Representing a client who had been divorced for 7 years, but had not negotiated a financial settlement. Therefore, his wife's claims against his pension remained live
- Acting for a high-ranking police officer in a compliment and acrimonious divorce;
- Negotiating a settlement where the Respondent has an interest in a business and ensuring that the correct and up to date valuation of that business was available.
